The Day We Rise Again

Image

Election Day in Pakistan. My first time and pray God may Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf win ❀ This poem is a tribute to our leader Imran Khan!!!

In the early hours of dawn

We raised our faces to the sky

We joyously embraced the rain

And dreamt we could fly

The years of chains are over

Our choices have set us free

We raise our voices a hundredfold

Victory for the Tsunami

We dreamt of this day on cold nights

When the fires of hope burnt low

We dreamt of a hero, a visionary

Who would tell us where to go

But he said stay and fight,

And bleed for your country and die

Come stand with him you of brave hearts

Come stand with PTI

Can you hear the drums throbbing,

Across a land once thought dead

The people wear his colors

Their exultant faces painted green and red

He spoke from a stage up above us

But his words in our veins sang

Here comes change, here comes hope,

Here comes Naya Pakistan.

We link hands and yell triumphantly

Today is the day we rise again

Goodbye to misery and darkness,

Only light and good shall remain

As we raise our fists,

Love fills our heart for each comrade

And the tears pour down our face as we shout

Pakistan.. Zindabad!!!

Naya = new

Zindabad = live on
