Musings of a Somebody #2 Prison-house of Pain

We stood out in the rain

Watched the blood pour down again,

Saw the moon wax and wane

In our prison house of pain

You had nothing to lose or gain

So you gave up on your name

You wont ever rise again

Forgotten in your prison house of pain

There is now ice in every vein

Things will never be the same

I will rise to fall again

Trapped in my  prison house of pain

    heartbreaking. beautiful but heartbreaking.

Highly charged poem, masha’allah. Obviously cryptically written so we can’t tell the specific nature of the pain – but that also universalises its significance. But sister Sahar, you (we) take heart in your (our) low moments. “With every difficulty there is ease” (Qur’an 94:6)

    Stay strong, inshallah :o)
